The offshore casinos named in the cease-and-desist orders include well-known platforms such as 7 Bets Casino, ABC Islands Casino, Bookmaker.eu, Cherry Jackpot Casino, Club Player Casino, NinBet Casino, PitBet, Prism Casino, SlotsNBets, VIP Slots Casino, and Wild Vegas Casino. These operators have been accepting wagers from Michigan residents through various payment methods, including credit cards, cryptocurrencies, and digital wallets.
Henry Williams, the Executive Director of the Michigan Gaming Control Board, emphasized the importance of shutting down illegal gambling operations to safeguard the public. He stated, “These sites are operating illegally and without proper oversight, putting Michigan players at risk. We’re committed to protecting the public from unfair play and financial harm.”
Compliance Deadline for Offshore Operators
The MGCB has issued a 14-day compliance deadline for the offshore operators to cease offering gambling services to Michigan residents. Failure to comply could result in legal action in collaboration with the Michigan Attorney General’s Office.
Williams issued a stern warning to unauthorized operators, stating, “Michigan does not tolerate illegal gambling activities. We will continue to actively identify and disrupt these operations to uphold the integrity of the state’s legal gambling system.”
